How an engagement works

What you provide, and what you get back.

So there are no surprises about what's expected of you, or what you'll walk away with.

What you provide

  • KYC documents — PAN and address proof
  • A clear picture of income, expenses and existing investments
  • Copies of current insurance policies, loan statements, and investment holdings
  • Completed responses to a short risk-profiling questionnaire
  • Your goals, priorities, and any concerns — in your own words
  • Time for 4-5 structured conversations to go over all of this
  • A signed engagement letter before any advice is given
  • Updates if anything material changes in your situation later

What I deliver

  • Clear disclosure of my SEBI registration, fees, and any conflicts of interest, before we begin
  • A documented risk profile based on your responses
  • An independent review of what you already hold, with gaps and overlaps flagged
  • A written, documented plan — not a verbal recommendation — with specific, actionable steps mapped to each goal
  • A walkthrough call to explain the plan and answer questions
  • Implementation guidance if you need it — I never execute trades or hold your money; you keep full control, and I'm never able to touch your funds
  • A record of the advice given, for your own reference going forward
Payment

How fees are paid.

Advisory fees are collected only through regulated, traceable banking channels — after your engagement letter is signed and a fee invoice is shared.

Accepted modes

  • UPI
  • Bank transfer — NEFT / RTGS / IMPS
  • Account-payee cheque or demand draft
  • Centralised Fee Collection Mechanism (CeFCoM)

What I'll never do

  • Accept cash, under any circumstance
  • Ask you to pay to any account or UPI ID other than the one in your signed agreement
  • Hold or have access to your money — you execute all transactions yourself, in your own accounts
Fee structure

Simple, disclosed up front.

Fees depend on the scope of your finances and are always agreed in writing beforehand. As a guide:

Includes 6 months of post-plan support at no additional cost.

Ongoing Financial Advisory (annual)Flat annual fee₹18,000/yr after the initial 6 months

The fee itself is fixed, not a percentage of your portfolio — so it doesn't change based on how much you invest, and is disclosed in writing before you engage me, well within the fee limits SEBI sets for Investment Advisers. I typically work with clients up to around ₹3 crore in net worth — calculate your net worth.

Fee questions

A few practical questions.

How is the fee determined and paid?

Fees are fixed for the listed services, disclosed in writing before engagement, and paid after the engagement letter is signed. The financial plan fee is ₹30,000 and is paid upfront.

Is there a minimum portfolio size to work with you?

No minimum. My fee is fixed and isn't linked to how much you invest, so it doesn't matter whether you're just starting out or already have a sizeable portfolio. I typically work with clients up to around ₹3 crore in net worth.

What happens after the first plan?

There is no lock-in. Your Financial Plan includes 6 months of post-plan support at no additional cost. After that, Ongoing Financial Advisory is optional at ₹18,000 a year.

Can I use just one service, like an insurance review, instead of a full plan?

The core offering is a comprehensive financial plan — that's where most of the value is, since your investments, insurance, and goals are all connected. If you already know you want to invest and don't need full planning, standalone Investment Planning (₹20,000) is available. If you already have a plan from elsewhere, a standalone Portfolio Review (₹18,000) is available as a second opinion.

Do you help with NPS, EPF, or annuity decisions specifically?

Yes — reviewing what you already hold in NPS, EPF, PPF and annuity products, and how they fit your withdrawal strategy, is part of retirement planning. Retirement planning is covered within a Holistic Financial Plan.

What exactly do I get for the fee?

An independent review of your existing investments and insurance, followed by a written, goal-based plan covering where and how to invest.

Is the fee per person, or does it cover my spouse and family too?

It's per couple, including dependent children and dependent parents. If you'd rather work with me separately from your spouse or partner, that's two separate fees.

Is renewal mandatory? What if I don't renew for a couple of years?

Renewal is entirely optional. You can renew after a gap of 2–3 years if you'd like — the fee would just be charged as if you were a new client.
